Dialogue between a teacher and a student about punctuality

a  dialogue between a teacher and a student about punctuality:

Teacher: Good morning, Rohan. Can I have a word with you?

Student: Good morning, ma’am. Yes, of course.

Teacher: I’ve noticed that you’ve been arriving late to class quite often this week. Is everything alright?

Student: I’m really sorry, ma’am. I’ve been waking up late lately. I’m trying to fix it.

Teacher: I understand. But punctuality is very important—not just in school, but in life. It shows discipline and respect for others’ time.

Student: You’re right, ma’am. I didn’t realize how much it affects everything.

Teacher: Being late can also cause you to miss important lessons or instructions. And it disrupts the class when someone walks in late.

Student: I see that now. I’ll try harder to be on time.

Teacher: Try setting your alarm earlier and getting your school things ready the night before. A proper routine helps a lot.

Student: That’s a good idea. I usually leave everything for the morning, which delays me.

Teacher: Exactly. A little planning goes a long way. If you start building this habit now, it will benefit you in the long run.

Student: Thank you, ma’am. I’ll definitely work on being punctual from now on.

Teacher: I’m glad to hear that, Rohan. I know you’re capable of it. Let’s see some improvement next week.

Student: You will, ma’am. Thanks for understanding.
